Welcome to my blog! This is where you can come to get to know me, and hopefully I can get to know you as well. If you are passionate about educating the future leaders of our world, then we have something in common. This blog is where I share my beliefs about education, the things I’m learning, and my teaching experiences. If you would like to follow my other creative endeavors, follow my Instagram!
I have been a small town Saskatchewan girl most of my life. Music and art are two major passions of mine. I also love spending time with my church community or catching up with long-distance friends. Most of my time is now spent with my dog, Otto, a rescued German Shepherd mix who joined my life in Fall 2022. We love training together and going on long walks and hikes!
Growing up, I thought I would enjoy a career in something related to creating and designing things. For a long time I was very set on being an architect, until some summer camp jobs sparked a passion in my heart for working with kids and youth. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Regina in Winter 2020. I went on to teach Kindergarten & PreK in Kipling, SK, and then moved on to teaching Early Years and Primary grades in Moose Jaw, where I currently reside. One of my favourite parts of being a teacher is using my passion for art and design to create beautiful and engaging projects for or with my students. My ultimate favourite part, though, are the deep and meaningful relationships I get to form with my students, and the privilege it leads to of being witness to the amazing learning and growth that happens in the classroom.
These days you can find me working away at my classes or volunteering in my community, but I am never too busy to say hello, so check out my contact page if you would like to get in touch, or subscribe to stay connected to my blog!
